Iron Heart’s N1 Deck Jacket is one of those pieces that proves why some designs hardly change across generations. Built on the blueprint of the original 1940s US Navy N1, this version stays true to the spirit of the classic while adding the subtle upgrades that make Iron Heart’s interpretation one of the best on the market. The shell is cut from their 12oz Japanese whipcord, a dense, hard-twisted cotton that blocks wind and takes on character through wear. Inside, a high-density wool and alpaca blend lines the body for serious warmth, supported by a hidden chino interlining that boosts wind resistance without adding bulk.

The two-way zipper sits beneath a traditional buttoned storm placket. Storm cuffs stay concealed under the sleeves. Handwarmer pockets are lined in wool, and a snap interior pocket rounds out the storage. Every inch of the construction - from the heavy snaps to the bar-tacked seams - feels built for real winter. Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing an L in this piece. He generally wears this size in their jackets and XLs in all the shirting. This one sticks to that standard. It has a roomier cut, as a jacket should, which allows him to wear a size closer to his "normal size." We would still recommend sizing up once if you are in between sizes. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
