James Dant x Dehen - N-1 Deck Jacket - Auburn, Kodiak

This exclusive N-1 jacket is something we've wanted for years, and your support this year helped it come to fruition. When something gets in our heads, it tends to stick. We've been trying to produce a waxed dark red jacket for years...but it always seems that the fabric isn't available. Well, Dehen went to bat for us and snagged this gorgeous auburn-colored canvas from their distributors. It is as amazing in person as it looks in the pictures. Our favorite kind of waxed garment is one in which you get major shifts in color from highs to lows in the marbling created by the wax. There is a huge difference between a garment with that look and one without, and if you've ever seen it in person you know exactly what we're talking about. It's a game-changer. The Dehen N-1 is the absolute warmest jacket in our lineup, hands down. There is no competition. The fully mouton-lined body and collar ensure that you don't need much else to keep you warm on the most frigid days. And, it's the most comfortable fur liner, as well. You can wear this over a tee-shirt with no itchies or scratchies. We found that the richness and sheen of the kodiak sat perfectly with the auburn to create a jacket for the ages.

Constructed of a 10.10 oz. waxed canvas outer shell with a luxurious mouton fur lining, this jacket represents the very best they have to offer.  Warmer and more substantial than anything in its class, this garment is built to last a lifetime.

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Our first impression is that Dehen fits with a more American cut (i.e. larger). We've been proven wrong with the past few pieces though. We would say this brand has one of the truest fits on the market if that's even possible. Shop owner Tommy is wearing a large for the pictures this round. He found that the medium in the black version felt a little small with a straighter fit pant...so he decided to size up and loved the fit. Most of our customers will be happy with their true size, but if you want to layer or like a roomier pant, you may need to size up. Keep in mind, all measurements are taken from he outside of the jacket and the mouton has a heavy pile. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
