03500-HCSVG - 8oz "Selvedge Chambray" Denim Jacket - Coverall

Every time we think Oni has shown us everything, they manage to surprise us with a fabric that feels brand new. Instead of their signature heavy, low-tension denim, Oishi-san has brought out an 8oz selvedge chambray - a lightweight, densely woven plain weave that fits perfectly into a workwear jacket. Chambray has long been a staple in shirts, but seeing it applied to a coverall is something entirely different, and we’re excited to be one of the few shops in the world to offer it. Oni chose their 03500 coverall silhouette for this release, delivering a relaxed, utilitarian fit with plenty of room to layer while staying breathable for warmer months. All the signature Oni details are here, from sturdy construction to selvedge accents and a bright canvas patch that adds a flash of contrast. The warp is indigo-dyed too, so this jacket will age and fade right alongside you.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 42 in this jacket. He's used to wearing a 42 in these jackets across the board. This jacket was a pleasantly boxy cut. The coverall is meant to fit with a roomier body and longer torso, but you can totally make it more tailored if you prefer. We would recommend sizing up just once on this if you don't know your size, or buying your standard ONI size if you do. Tommy is 5'10," 161lbs, with a 40" chest.
