12.5oz - Forever Black Selvedge Denim - True Guy

The Naked & Famous "Forever Black" Selvedge is built for those who want their black jeans to actually stay black. Woven from a custom-developed 12.5oz Japanese selvedge denim, this fabric is designed with both the warp and weft dyed to the deepest, most stubborn black, using reactive dyes that resist fading far longer than traditional sulfur-dyed denim. Cut and sewn in Canada, the "Forever Black" offers a crisp, clean look fresh off the rack, but unlike most black denim, it won't rapidly wash out to gray after just a few months of wear. It still wears in and molds to your body like true raw denim, but the deep black color stays rich through heavy use and repeated washes. Finished with tonal stitching, a black leather patch, and a classic redline selvedge ID, it's an ideal choice for anyone serious about keeping their black jeans truly black. To be honest, these aren't disappearing the day they're released...but people are going to regret not buying them when they're looking for that perfect pair of black denim. Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing a size 33 waist in these. Even at 12.5oz, these still have a fair amount of starch that gives a wonderful shape to the denim. The 33 is a super solid fit for Tommy in the True Guy, and this one fit the bill. We would recommend buying your true size if you know it, one size up if you don't, and trusting the size charts as your first line of research. Tommy is 5'10", 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
