15oz - Yatagarasu Selvedge - True Guy

The Yatagarasu Selvedge, N&F's most sought-after denim of the season, is a 15oz Japanese selvedge denim rooted in the mythology of Yatagarasu, the three-legged crow revered in Shinto as a guide through uncertainty. Naked & Famous built this fabric around that idea of direction and transformation, starting with a sulfur-dyed black warp that delivers a deep, charcoal tone right out of the gate. As the denim wears in, the white weft pushes through and creates sharp, high-contrast patterns that follow your movement and tell your story.

Tonal stitching, black pocket bags, and military spec blackened copper hardware keep the exterior tight and minimal, letting the denim and its evolution carry the story. The pink selvedge ID adds a small flash of color, but the real standout is the natural veg-tan leather patch. It features metallic black foil artwork from Canadian artist Jacqui Oakley, capturing the otherworldly presence of Yatagarasu in a way that feels ancient and modern at the same time.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing a size down to a 33 in these. They have that nice hefty, crunchy feeling we love from raw denim and drape accordingly. He sized down one from the last release to get a really nice fit on these True Guys. For a straight cut like this, pay attention to the knee and make sure you have enough room thre before choosing a final waist size. Tommy is 5'9", 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
