IH-634S-B - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo Overdyed Black

These medium-rise, straight-cut jeans are built from 21oz overdyed indigo selvedge denim and bring a bold edge to a timeless classic. The process? Pure transformation. Starting with the iconic IH-634S Indigo jeans, they’re steeped in black dye using a direct dyeing method that saturates the indigo fabric and stitching while erasing all shrinkage. The result is a perfect hybrid—dark and striking, but with the promise of blue-tinged fades that’ll break in beautifully with wear. These had an almost seude like quality to them, reading a bit like moleskin when you have them on. It's a welcomed softening the overdue process brings that knocks down some of the flatness of the denim and turns it more to a matte. 

In the past, sulfur dye was the go-to for overdyeing, but they've shifted to a more eco-friendly direct dyeing process. The only real difference? The brass hardware stays shiny instead of oxidized. Otherwise, you can count on these jeans to age just as beautifully as their predecessors, with a fade journey that's all their own.

• Fades slowly with an even contrast, the high wear areas will show a pale blue tone

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Tommy has been wearing a 33 across the board from Iron Heart, but decided to go up to a 34 in these. With wearing roomier cuts, he figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try and ultimately really loved the fit.  The 634 is a cut we used to consider wide, but now only becomes more of a relaxed straight if you size up. We always recommend sizing up at least once in Iron Heart. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
