A variance of +/-.5 is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy went back to his standard size of 34 on these. Keep in mind, these are unsanforized but they have been washed to remove shrinkage. So the measurements will reflect that. We recommend you start with one size bigger than you think you are, and see if the measurements work for your desired fit. With them being a wide straight with a high rise, the most important part of the jean is going to be the top block. Get the waist and rise right, and you should be set. Tommy is 5'10,' 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
