Jackman’s Sumi BB Cap takes a classic baseball silhouette and rebuilds it through the brand’s signature obsession with yarn and machinery. The fabric starts with a dry cotton blend sourced from the US and Australia, then spun into nep yarn using intentionally imprecise carding adjustments that create natural texture and irregularity. It’s a difficult process to control - nep yarn is fragile - and weaving it demands slow, careful work on an old-fashioned rapier loom, the same style traditionally used for silk. The result is a cap with an organic, rustic surface, subtle color variation from the charcoal dye process, and a uniquely Japanese balance of softness and structure. It’s an everyday piece elevated through method, material, and the kind of production that most brands simply don’t attempt anymore.

Fit Notes: These have a one-size notation, but they probably wouldn't be the best for guys with huge heads. The leather strap allows for some adjustment which makes them fit a wider range of heads.
