The 21oz Superblack Fades to Grey selvedge is built on the same heavyweight, low-tension weave that makes Iron Heart's indigo jeans so extraordinary, but the sulfur-dyed black warp and reactive-dyed black weft create a starting point that evolves in a completely different direction. As the warp fades to grey with wear and washing, the fade-resistant weft stays jet black, producing a high-contrast, almost photographic fading pattern that mirrors what you'd expect from a serious indigo project pair. The double-twisted weft yarn and lower-tension weave give the 21oz fabric a softness up front that makes it one of the most approachable heavyweight denims Iron Heart produces, and the sanforized one-wash finish means you're not fighting shrinkage from day one. Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing a size 35 in these. He knew that the 888 fit a little slimmer in the waist than the 634 and 666 cuts, so he decided to go up once from what he normally wears in the brand. We would recommend you consider doing the same. Tommy is 5'9," 165bs with a 33-34" waist.
