Instead of persimmon tannins, this version uses a richly woven cotton outer dyed in deep indigo, paying homage to traditional Japanese dyeing methods and the brand’s long-standing commitment to natural color. The fabric develops a uniquely personal patina as it breaks in - highs, lows, and subtle tonal shifts that make each jacket increasingly one-of-a-kind.

The silhouette stays faithful to the original MA-1: ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem for that structured military fit, a two-way zipper built for real wear, and the signature sleeve utility pocket that keeps the heritage intact. The liner is finished in a vintage-inspired contrast tone, echoing the golden hues found in early flight jackets and setting off the dark indigo shell beautifully. Fit Notes: This jacket has a roomy cut like a classic MA-1. Tommy decided to go with his true size in this jacket, which made for the perfect fit. We would recommend sticking with your true size unless you want a really oversized look. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
