8.6oz - MIJ14 Haru Kaze - Denim Jacket

The MIJ14 introduces the first lightweight denim in the Naked & Famous Denim Made in Japan series, clocking in at just 8.6oz. Woven in a 2x1 construction using lightweight slub yarn, this fabric leans heavily into texture, with visible neps running through both the warp and weft. It’s made from 100% recycled cotton and dyed with a brown weft, lending the denim a rich, earthy tone that feels especially warm. As a loomstate fabric, it skips all the modern finishing - no singeing, no skewing, no sanforization - allowing the denim to retain its natural hairiness and twist with wear. To account for shrinkage without compromising the raw texture, the denim is given a tempi treatment: a single soak and hang-dry before cutting and sewing. Finished with custom Japanese hardware, a sheepskin patch, and the signature maple leaf embroidery, this is a purpose-built summer denim with all the depth and soul of a heavyweight.

Fit Notes: Tommy wears a size large in this Denim Jacket. That has been his standard size for the last 2 years. Not much has changed. This fits perfectly in his chosen size. We recommend buying your true size in this jacket unless you want an oversized fit. Tommy is 5'10", 165lbs with a 40" chest.
