The Iron Heart 12oz Whipcord Tanker Jacket draws inspiration from the WWII-era jackets issued to U.S. servicemen in the 1940s but reimagines them with modern construction and refined materials. This Fall/Winter ’25 iteration delivers military precision with everyday wearability, crafted from a sulphur-dyed 12oz Japanese whipcord that’s designed to fade beautifully over time. The tightly woven cotton shell provides durability and wind resistance, while maintaining a comfortable hand feel that softens with age.

Inside, the jacket is lined with weather-resistant Japanese Ventile cotton for enhanced protection from wind and rain, offering warmth without excess bulk. The design features a two-way YKK zipper with a storm placket, hybrid knit cuffs and hem for a natural wind-blocking fit, and tubular knitted collar detailing. Patch handwarmer pockets, an internal snap pocket, and poly-cotton reinforced stitching round out the utilitarian build. As always, the balance of toughness, comfort, and attention to detail puts Iron Heart in a league of its own.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing an L in this piece. He generally wears this size in their jackets and XLs in all the shirting. This one sticks to that standard. It has a roomier cut, as a jacket should, which allows him to wear a size closer to his "normal size." We would still recommend sizing up once if you are in between sizes. Tommy is 5'10," 162lbs with a 40" chest.
