Lot 233 - 66M 3rd Type Mother Cotton Denim Jacket - Ecru

The Lot 233-66M represents DENIME’s take on the third-generation denim jacket that emerged in the 1960s, when denim moved beyond pure workwear and into everyday life. As silhouettes became more refined, this model struck the balance between a cleaner, more fitted profile and the freedom of movement demanded by real wear. One of the defining features is the use of rolled sleeve seams, a technically demanding construction detail that creates deep, irregular creasing over time and is rarely executed today. Vintage examples that later abandoned this technique only underscore how special it is here.

The fabric is where this jacket truly separates itself. Woven by Kurabo using a 7.3 x 7.3 yarn structure, the denim recreates historic “banner denim” through the use of mother cotton blended directly into the warp without indigo dyeing. The result is a brown-filled denim with a soft, organic tone and a dry, expressive texture that evolves dramatically with wear and washing. This is the non-wash version, designed to shrink and shape itself to the wearer over time, delivering the kind of aging that only raw denim can provide.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 38 in this jacket. With the roll sleeves and boxy body, he was able to fit into a size 38 or medium in this piece. That isn't normally the case with Warehouse, and is likely due to the unwashed nature of the garment. With the sleeves rolled like they're supposed to be and a proper wash on this, Tommy would likely purchase the size 40-L. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
