ONI has been our holy grail brand from the very beginning, and we've finally been able to build a relationship with the brand and owner Masao Oishi. The brand is as old school and secretive as it appears. They use traditional construction methods to create low-tension, irregular, slubby denim that has a cult following. Their selvage tickles the ancient part of our brain that makes us love denim so much. ONI does one thing and they do it to perfection. We can't wait to explore their wonderful world of fabric and fits with you guys. 

The ONI Denim 737SVC-LOL chinos are crafted with an emphasis on traditional craftsmanship and modern wearability. Made from a 9.5oz low-tension selvedge chino fabric, they feature a unique slubby texture, achieved through ONI’s signature low-tension weaving process. The yarn-dyed light olive color provides depth and character, evolving beautifully with wear. With a relaxed straight fit, slightly higher rise, and thoughtful details like custom iron buttons and raised belt loops, these chinos are a versatile addition to any wardrobe, bridging the gap between casual and professional styles. We were most impressed by how well this light-ounce fabric drapes.

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 33 in this Relaxed Straight fit. This fit had plenty of waist in the room and the leg. This seems to be fitting pretty in line with the other Relaxed Starights from ONI . Get the waist right, and the rest should fall in line. We always recommend buying one size bigger than what you normally buy from Japanese brands.  Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs, with a 33-34" waist.
