ONI’s 17oz Bumpy Denim is a newly developed fabric woven at ultra-low tension with heavy, irregular slub yarns. The result is a deeply textured denim with a wavy, uneven surface that feels unmistakably ONI from the first touch. The low-tension weave traps air inside the fabric and amplifies the three-dimensional grain, giving the denim a bold character that rewards long-term wear. Each pair is garment dyed after construction, allowing the color to sit closer to the surface and interact with the slub in a way that highlights every bump, ridge, and irregularity.

This release comes in the brand’s Just Right Straight fit, ONI’s modern interpretation of a classic straight leg. It sits in the sweet spot between regular and relaxed, offering room in the top block with a clean, balanced line through the leg. It is a versatile silhouette designed for comfort and long wear, ideal for anyone who wants a long, slow, expressive fade journey.

Oudo - A rich earth-tone garment dye inspired by iron-rich soil. The textured weave catches the sienna dye unevenly, creating a warm, tonal appearance that becomes more pronounced as the denim wears in.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 34 in this pant. Oishi-san warned that this fit smaller than usual due to the garment dye and one-wash. We found this to be true as the 34 fit a bit smaller in the waist than usual. We would recommend sizing up twice in this denim if you don't know your ONI size. If you've bought ONI before, go up once from what you bought last time. He did assure us that if they are feeling a bit snug in the waist, the denim is very loosely woven and has plenty of natural stretch. Tommy is 5'9" 165lbs, with a 33-34" waist and would likely buy the 36 in these.
