5502H - Cotton Rib Henley Neck L/S Shirt - Charcoal Black

This has been quite a long time coming. We've been dancing around Full Count for many years and finally cleared up some space to bring them in. Full Count is a Japanese denim brand that kicked off in 1992, founded by Mikiharu Tsujita. They're all about using Zimbabwean cotton, which is hand-picked and has super long, strong fibers. Full Count was one of the original "Osaka 5" denim brands, helping to fuel the Japanese denim craze in the late '80s and early '90s. This now makes 4/5 for us! Fun fact: the name comes from baseball—when the batter’s got three balls and two strikes, that's a "full count."

We had to have a shirt to wrap up the collection. This beauty is a hardy henley that tips more towards a crewneck sweater than a t-shirt. It's that wonderful heavyweight that lets you know you're wearing something substantial. It's made in a brush finished in a factory known for its wool. So it's got a ton of character you don't normally see from cotton. The micro ribbing (which is hard to see with this color) also helps with that. We love a contrasting placket, whether it be fabric or color.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 42 in this shirt. These run a bit trimmer, as you can see from the size charts. This 42 fit him with just enough room to be comfy. He would stick with this size for purchase. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs, with a 40" chest.
