Iron Heart’s Ultra Heavy Flannel needs no introduction, and this season’s western cut in Red American Check hits every mark the UHF line is known for. The 12oz fabric is woven from Aspero cotton sourced from the foothills of the Andes, giving it that dense, substantial feel that defines the category. It is single brushed on the face, double brushed on the reverse, and built with enough body to serve as a true cold-weather overshirt while still feeling soft against the skin.

For this run, Iron Heart uses its newer reactive dye process, a shift from the direct dyes used on older UHFs. The result is a toned-down palette that looks naturally lived-in right out of the gate. Combined with the western details, snap closures, and curved hem, this version delivers the classic UHF feel with a tighter, cleaner color story meant for long term wear.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing an XL in this piece. The western shirt is the slimmest fitting in the lineup, so the XL fits him with a tailored look. We would recommend sizing up in this garment, if not twice, at least once. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
