SP-120S - 18oz "Amami Dorozome" 45th Anniversary Selvedge Jeans - Regular Straight

To commemorate their 45th anniversary, Studio D’Artisan introduces the SP-120 jeans, a fusion of traditional Japanese dyeing techniques and modern denim craftsmanship. These jeans are crafted from 18oz unsanforized selvedge denim, initially rope-dyed in indigo and subsequently hand-dyed using the ancient Amami Dorozome (mud-dyeing) method. This dual-dyeing process results in a rich, deep hue that approaches black, yet reveals subtle blue and brown undertones, offering a unique depth and character. Our favorite brown detail has to be the selvedge id. It also washes down the denim to make it feel less heavy but no less substantial.

The regular straight silhouette provides a timeless fit, neither too slim nor too loose, making it versatile for various styles. Attention to detail is evident in features like the original copper rivets, a thick goat leather patch, and a button fly with custom Studio D’Artisan buttons. Each pair embodies the brand's commitment to quality and tradition.

Fit Notes: These fit like a traditional pair of Studio D'artisan, which is smaller than most brands. Tommy is wearing a 34 which is his normal size. They fit exactly as he would've expected a regular straight to fit. They were perfect in the waist with plenty of room in the thigh and leg. If you get the waist right, the rest should fall in line. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
