These slow-working machines create a fleece that captures the plush, iconic texture and comfort of American sweatshirts from the 1940s and 50s—qualities unmatched by modern methods.

Using raw Zimbabwe cotton, known for its earthy, natural brown hue and as a staple of Full Count's materials, the fleece is dyed to retain the cotton’s original texture and feel. Each sweatshirt is crafted with meticulous details: V set-in sleeves, flat seamer stitching with a Union Special machine, uniquely pulled random needle stitching for the ribbed cuffs, and a vertical swing machine used on the neck ribbing. All these intricate techniques come together to produce the ultimate sweatshirt, offering a luxury that’s as much about tradition as it is about quality.
