The "Snake Slayer" T-shirt by Samurai Jeans draws inspiration from a legendary tale of the Kamakura period (1185–1333). The design depicts Wada Tanenaga, a samurai who, in complete darkness, slew a giant serpent with a single sword in a cave at the foot of Mount Fuji, restoring peace to the land. This artwork reflects the influence of musha-e, a genre of Edo-period ukiyo-e paintings that celebrate heroic warriors. One such print portrays Tanenaga’s legendary battle, capturing his unwavering bravery.

Fit Notes: In general, Samurai tops fit a bit small. They've modified this shirt to be a bit longer, and have a bit more room in the chest this round. We would recommend starting with one size above your norm, and then going up once more from there if you want something other than a tailored fit. Tommy is wearing an XL in the photos.
