The Wonder Looper Super Looper French Terry Pullover Hoodie is built around one of the most distinctive sweatshirt fabrics coming out of Wakayama today. Knit on century-old Tsuriami machines, the Super Looper French Terry pushes the limits of what a traditional loopback fabric can look and feel like. Instead of the uniform interior loops found in standard French terry, this fabric produces a wildly textured loopback filled with irregular loop sizes that create a rich, tactile surface.

At 446 GSM, the weight alone makes an impression, but it’s the feel that really sets it apart. The interior has the plush depth of a thick towel, giving the hoodie an enveloping softness that feels both cozy and substantial. Despite that dramatic interior texture, the exterior remains remarkably smooth and clean, carrying the appearance of a classic sweatshirt while hiding all of that complexity underneath.

The hoodie itself is cut in Wonder Looper’s modern athletic silhouette and built with thoughtful details throughout. Raglan sleeves allow for easy movement through the shoulders, while ribbed side panels, cuffs, and hem help the garment maintain structure over time. A drawstring hood and classic kangaroo hand warmer pocket keep the design rooted in traditional hoodie construction, while flat seam construction gives the entire piece a refined finish. Knit from Japanese fabric and sewn in Japan.

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size large. This is considered an athletic fit which reads to us as a roomier, more American cut. We rarely see Japanese brands with that sort of cut, but the Wonder Looper owners built this brand with specifically that in mind. The large fit with plenty of extra room in the chest, hem, and arms. Tommy is our standard fit model at 5'9," 165lbs with a 41" chest. His typical North American size is medium and Japanese size is large.
