Samurai’s S500AX-SAKURA takes their regular straight silhouette and outfits it with one of the most striking fabrics in their lineup: 18oz AI-PLUS denim, rope-dyed with Japanese natural indigo blended for depth and stability, woven with a sakura-dyed weft. The result is a denim that looks deep indigo at a glance, but reveals soft pink undertones as the fabric flexes and fades. Built on vintage shuttle looms with slubby yarn, this cloth is textured, irregular, and fade-ready. Samurai rounds it out with sakura motif buttons and rivets, a richly detailed leather patch, AI+ printed pocket bags, and layered reinforcements. A seasonal, limited release that brings together Samurai’s devotion to natural indigo and Japanese cultural storytelling.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy went back to his standard size of 34 on these. Keep in mind, these are unsanforized but they have been washed to remove shrinkage. So the measurements will reflect that. We recommend you start with one size bigger than you think you are, and see if the measurements work for your desired fit. These have a higher rise, so the waist is going to read smaller than the slim straight. If you plan to wear them low, you may need to size up more than once. Tommy would likely wear a 35 in these. He is 5'10,' 160lbs with a 33-34" waist.
