A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is medium in large in this pant. He felt that the overall fit on the large would be more what he wanted ( keep in mind these have an elastic waist, so they have the ability to stretch between 3-5" total circumference). Due to the size and waist style in these, you can kind of choose between 2-3 sizes. Just go with how roomy you want them. Tommy is 5'10", 165lbs with a 33-34" waist depeding on rise.
