Double Heavyweight Crewneck T-Shirt - Sumi

We were lucky enough to be in on this brand before it even hit the internet. When the owners asked if we wanted in on some of the heaviest knits in the game, it was an easy yes. We’ve always loved heavyweight tees like the rest of our "better men’s goods" crowd, but these take it to another level. At 409GSM (12.1oz per square yard), they’re basically twice what’s normally considered heavyweight, and somehow they still drape beautifully. The uneven surface texture is exactly what you’d hope for in a circular-knit vintage-style tee, and the fit doesn’t take a back seat to the fabric. Being one of the first shops in the U.S. to carry them was a thrill - they sold out immediately, and then sold out again. Last time, we even got surprised with a tan colorway we didn’t know existed, and of course, we jumped on it. Now, just in time for fall, two new shades are here: ecru and sumi.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size medium this round. This is considered an athletic fit which reads to us as a roomier, more American cut. It's not often we see Japanese brands with that sort of cut, but the Wonder Looper owners built this brand with specifically that in mind. He honestly prefers the large in something this heavy, but you could get away with your true size if you're not wearing it with baggier pants. Tommy is our standard fit model at 5'10," 161lbs with a 40" chest.
