The Foxfibre® Double Heavyweight French Terry - Coyote 80 Pullover Hoodie is the final evolution of Wonder Looper’s pursuit of the world’s heaviest circular knits. At 825 GSM (24.3oz per square yard), this fabric redefines what heavyweight means - dense, structured, and substantial without sacrificing comfort. It wears like a three-pound wool sweater yet remains soft, breathable, and entirely free of stiffness.

The rich brown hue isn’t dyed. It grows that way naturally from Foxfibre®, a rare organically colored cotton cultivated on a single-origin farm in New Mexico. By growing the pigment directly in the fiber, Foxfibre® eliminates the need for chemical dyes. Over time, it deepens in tone, developing a personal patina that reflects how you wear it.

The Coyote 80 blend uses 80% Foxfibre® and 20% organically grown extra-long staple cotton for added softness and strength. Knit in Wakayama, Japan, on low-gauge (10G) circular knitting machines, the fabric’s surface has a subtle irregularity and weight you can feel, with oversized interior loops that add warmth and a tactile, almost corded character.

The hoodie’s design takes full advantage of that fabric - a modern athletic fit with raglan sleeves, ribbed side panels, and a thick, double-layer hood that feels almost sculptural. A ribbed hem and cuffs keep the shape tight, while flat-seam construction ensures smooth comfort throughout. Every inch is a testament to Japanese precision and Wonder Looper’s commitment to pushing boundaries.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size large. This is considered an athletic fit which reads to us as a roomier, more American cut. We rarely see Japanese brands with that sort of cut, but the Wonder Looper owners built this brand with specifically that in mind. The large fit with plenty of extra room in the chest, hem, and arms. The set-in sleeves also help to give a perfect fit in the shoulders in almost any size. Tommy is our standard fit model at 5'10," 162lbs with a 40" chest. His typical North American size is medium and Japanese size is large.
