The Foxfibre® Double Heavyweight French Terry - Coyote 80 Pants represent the absolute peak of what circular knitting can do. At a staggering 825 GSM (24.3oz per square yard), this is one of the heaviest knits ever made - a true feat of fabric engineering. Despite the weight, the pants remain remarkably wearable, offering a soft, structured drape that feels more like a wool trouser than traditional loungewear.

The fabric’s warm brown tone comes straight from Foxfibre®, a naturally colored cotton organically grown on a single-origin farm in New Mexico. There are no dyes or chemicals involved - the color grows directly in the fiber. Over time, the shade deepens and gains a natural patina, giving the garment a lived-in richness unique to each wearer.

The Coyote 80 blend combines 80% Foxfibre® with 20% organically grown extra-long staple cotton, amplifying softness and durability. This pairing produces a fabric that’s both substantial and incredibly comfortable, aging beautifully with wear. This iteration features an overdyeing process that uses a natural mordant treatment. This reacts with the cotton to create a deep, organic tone. Each piece develops subtle variations in shade and character, making every garment completely unique.

Milled in Wakayama, Japan, on low-gauge (10G) circular knitting machines, the French terry has an irregular, tactile surface and thick, soft loops on the interior that elevate both comfort and visual texture. The result is a fabric with incredible depth, weight, and warmth — built for those who appreciate craftsmanship you can feel.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy wears a size large in the pants. This is considered an athletic fit which reads to us as a roomier, more American cut. It's not often we see Japanese brands with that sort of cut, but the Wonder Looper owners built this brand with specifically that in mind. The medium fits him, but he prefers the roomier nature of the large. The pants have a drawstring, so you have the luxury of going between sizes. Tommy is our standard fit model at 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest. His typical North American size is medium and Japanese size is large.
