The M-65 fishtail parka was issued as a system rather than a single garment. The shell handled wind and weather, and a separate liner buttoned inside it to handle warmth, which meant a soldier could add or drop insulation as conditions changed. Collectors figured out decades ago that the liner works perfectly well on its own, and orSlow takes that idea the rest of the way, building the Fish Tail Liner as a standalone jacket rather than a component. The body is a textured fleece that holds a lot of warmth in very little thickness, so it layers under a coat as easily as it wears on its own in fall. The design stays close to the military original and keeps the detailing spare. The neckline is collarless, so nothing fights a scarf or the collar of whatever goes over it, and the front closes with buttons. Two large patch pockets sit at the hips. Contrasting fabric trims the edges and reinforces the elbow panels, the same places a liner wears through first, and the contrast gives the charcoal body some visual break. Adjustable tabs at the cuffs let you close things down at the wrist.

Fit Notes: This jacket is definitely oversized. That being said, it's a liner, so the body and arms aren't super long. The (2) fit Tommy exactly as he expected and wanted. We recommend sticking with the same size you buy in the shirting, unless you have really long arms. Expect a boxy cut. Tommy is 5'9," 160lbs with a 41" chest.
