11oz - Work Shirt Roll-Dyed Selvedge Canvas - Dark Brown

Dye behaves differently depending on when it meets the cloth. Rogue Territory sends this 11oz Japanese selvedge canvas through a roll dye in its raw state, which lays the brown onto the surface of the yarns rather than driving it all the way to the core. That is the same principle behind a good pair of raw jeans, and it sets the shirt up to shed pigment slowly, lightening at the elbows, the cuffs, the placket, and anywhere else the fabric moves against itself. The dyeing happens in Los Angeles, a short trip from the floor where the shirts are sewn. Once construction is finished, each piece goes through an industrial wash that pulls some of the surface dye back off, so the shirt arrives with a worn-in patina already started and a hand that has lost its stiffness. The wash also means the brown stays where it belongs, so you can wear it over anything. Inside, contrast red chain stitching runs the seams and ties back to the bold red selvedge ID, and the placket is cut on the selvedge so that finished edge faces out every time the shirt is open. The canvas carries a natural stretch that lets it relax into shape quickly. Dual chest pockets, triple-needle chainstitched seams with run-off, a herringbone locker loop, and antiqued brass snaps handle the rest.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing his classic RGT size Large in this. This one has a littel more room as it's the work shirt silhouette, but we wouldn't change our recommendation. You should still size up once in this piece. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 41" chest.
