The Naked & Famous Harionago Selvedge draws its name and its character from one of Japanese folklore's most striking figures, the yōkai Harionago, the Barbed-Hair Woman, a supernatural spirit whose long, thorn-like hair was sharp, tangled, and inescapable. The connection between myth and material is direct: the 14oz Japanese selvedge is woven at low tension and left unsinged, allowing the surface fibers to remain wild and bristled, mirroring the creature's untamed hair in textile form. Custom artwork by Canadian artist Jacqui Oakley reinforces the narrative throughout. The rope-dyed indigo and visible irregularity of the low-tension weave give the fabric a raw, expressive character that will only intensify as it fades. A limited edition piece finished with antique copper hardware and a vegetable-tanned leather patch with black foil emboss.

A variance of +/- 0.5" (1.27cm) is within tolerance.

Fit Notes: This series felt like a very traditional Naked & Famous fit to us. Tommy is wearing a size 34 in these, and they felt great. We would honestly recommend sticking with your true size again. Make sure to get the waist measurement where you like it, and you should be fine. Tommy is 5'9", 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.

*The Strong Guy is a relaxed straight fit; high rise, fuller in the seat and thigh that falls to a wide leg opening.*
