17oz - Brawler Selvedge - True Guy

The Naked & Famous Brawler Selvedge is the heaviest fabric in the SS26 collection at 17oz, and it earns the name. Inspired by 1940s wartime denim, the construction blends new cotton with recycled cotton to introduce shorter staple fibers that give the surface a slightly neppy, irregular texture with the kind of visual character that only gets better as it breaks in. Indigo rope dyed and built to fade with pronounced contrast over time, this is a fabric that rewards patience and hard wear in equal measure. Antique copper hardware and a thick natural vegetable-tanned leather patch finish a jean that was designed from the ground up to take a beating and come out looking better for it. This is one of those rare, heavyweight pieces we generally don't see unless it's in the Elephant series, so you know that gets the denim brain going.

Fit Notes: This series felt like a very traditional Naked & Famous fit to us. Tommy is wearing his standard True Guy size of 34. These were a bit more true to the True Guy silhouette, meaning there was a good amount of room in the leg for a straight fit. You want that with a denim this weight. Tommy is 5'9", 165lbs with a 33-34" waist. 

*The True Guy is a straight leg fit with a medium rise along with extra room in the seat and thigh that falls straight from knee to hem.*
