1907S - 14oz "Kasezome" Indigo Sashiko Selvedge - Regular Straight

The Studio D'Artisan 1907S Kasezome Sashiko Pant translates one of Japan's most celebrated hand-stitching traditions into a fully woven 14oz selvedge fabric, and the result feels unlike any denim we carry. Rather than replicating the look of sashiko through embroidery or printing, SDA engineered the weave itself to an extreme density on vintage power looms, producing a surface with a rich, almost knurled texture that delivers both visual depth and a genuinely distinctive hand. The kasezome dyeing method hank-dyes both warp and weft threads through to the core using a high concentration of indigo, which means the aging process here unfolds differently from conventional denim, producing layered, nuanced fades that reveal the fabric's intricate structure rather than simply lightening. The regular straight silhouette follows SDA's classic SD-101 profile, and the details throughout reflect the same level of commitment: custom copper rivets, resin button fly, raised belt loops, chain stitched hem, hidden back pocket rivets, and a red line selvedge ID.

A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: These fit like a traditional pair of Studio D'artisan, which is smaller than most brands. Tommy is wearing a 34, which is his normal size. These fit pretty spot on for the intended regular straight fit. That being said, we would still recommend sizing up at least once in this denim. He would potentially wear a 36 for a roomier leg and waist. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
