Full Count’s Type I jacket gets reworked in the same Super Smooth 11.5oz black x natural selvedge denim used for the Dartford jeans, delivering a classic silhouette with a noticeably softer, more wearable hand from day one. The black warp is hand-washed to soften the surface and introduce early depth, while the natural weft stays clean and visible, setting the stage for slow, high-contrast aging over time.

Based on the original 506XX, this jacket keeps all the essential Type I details intact while benefiting from Full Count’s lighter, low-tension Zimbabwe cotton weave. The result is a jacket that feels broken in far earlier than traditional repros, without sacrificing structure or character. It wears easily now, layers cleanly, and develops subtle texture and contrast as the fabric settles in with use.

We recommend sizing up no less than once in this piece, and that's only if you're looking for a traditional fit. If you want extra room, go up twice. Tommy is 5'9," 162lbs, with a 40" chest.
