222-ASPHALT - 20oz "Asphalt" Selvedge Denim - Super Wide Straight

The ONI 222 “Asphalt” is one of the brand’s heaviest and most textured fabrics, coming in at a rugged 20oz weight. True to its name, the denim has a deeply irregular surface, with heavy slub and nep that creates a look reminiscent of rough asphalt. Despite its weight, the fabric is woven at low tension, giving it surprising comfort and flexibility once broken in. The fades are dramatic and high-contrast, enhanced by the slubby weave and surface irregularities that Oni Denim is known for.

Finished with Oni’s signature detailing, the 222-Asphalt features an embossed leather Oni-yaki patch, original hardware, copper punched rivets with hidden back pocket reinforcements, and the brand’s classic flasher. Built for those who want a bold and textured heavyweight denim, this pair stands out as one of Oni’s most distinctive and heavily sought-after offerings. It was so limitied, again, we were only able to order one fit.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 34 in these pants. He wanted that extra roomy fit in these, even though the waist would likely need a belt. We would recommend you snag your normal ONI size in these. Tommy is 5'9," 160lbs, with a 33-34" waist.
