Merz has been on our list for quite some time. Can you believe they've been around for 111 years? That's currently our oldest brand! They've stuck around because they do something quite incredible with basics. They stand behind the idea that basics can be something to get excited about. So they create the best and put their iconic branding on just the tags. We're so happy to introduce this German line to our store. In the same way we correlate Japanese production to meticulous attention to detail, we correlate German production to impeccable engineering. We hope you love these super-engineered basics!

This circular knit tee is a mid-weight material made on very rare machines, the only ones capable of producing this wide stripe. Merz rescued the machines and now produces this well-rounded tee in their factory in Germany. This means that the gorgeous stripe you see isn't done through some printing or dyeing process...it's woven directly into the fabric. We think it's one of the most fun pieces of the season seeing that it brings out our playful sides. The colors are as rich as they look, and the hand feel is so comfortable on the skin (not like that's out of the ordinary for Merz).

Fit Notes: We can only describe these as being a much truer fit than we were expecting. We heard over and over that Merz fit small, and while they do...the oversized nature of these shirts helps with that. Tommy is wearing an XL in this piece because he forgot it fits a bit larger than the rest. He could easily wear a large in this piece. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs, with a 40" chest, and typically wears a North American M, and a Japanese L.
