The Merz b. Schwanen 2S18 is one of the heaviest loopwheeled long-sleeve tees in the world, and it earns that distinction without ever feeling like work to wear. The 10.7oz two-thread fabric is produced on original vintage loopwheel machines in Germany from 100% organic cotton, and the slow, deliberate knitting process produces a naturally slubbed, slightly irregular texture that gives the cloth real depth and visual presence straight out of the box. At 380 grams it has serious substance, but the relaxed fit, the soft organic cotton hand, and the overall ease of the silhouette mean it wears more like your most comfortable shirt than a technical exercise in heavyweight knitwear.
