5740 - 12oz FOX Cotton Work Shirt - Brown

The Studio D'Artisan 5740 Fox Cotton Work Shirt in brown is part of the brand's celebration of one of the rarest textiles in the world. Foxfibre® cotton was developed by agricultural pioneer Sally Fox, who restored naturally colored heritage cotton strains dating back over 5,000 years on her California farm since the 1980s. These varieties grow in subtle earth-toned hues directly from the plant itself, requiring no chemical dyes and no genetic modification, while the unique fiber structure, with fine air pockets within each strand, produces a fabric that is lightweight yet warm, quick-drying, breathable, and naturally UV-resistant. The cloth here is a 13oz herringbone twill that carries the same earthy warmth and surface texture as the baker pants, substantial enough to pull jacket duty during transitional weather. Finished with two chest pockets, side gussets with chainstitch runoff, and natural tagua nut corozo buttons for an organic, considered finish.
