5oz - Western Shirt Brushed Plaid - Bluebell

Shadow plaid earns its name by hiding in plain sight. The pattern gets woven in close tonal steps rather than high-contrast color blocks, so from across a room the shirt reads as a solid, and the grid only steps forward as the light hits it. On the Bluebell, that trick comes with a payoff: a quiet pop of purple buried in the darker squares that surfaces when the light catches it right and disappears again when it moves. Rogue Territory has the fabric woven in Japan as a 5oz herringbone plaid, then brushed, which lifts a fine nap off the surface and gives the cotton a hand soft enough to notice the first time you pick it up. The western details are handled with restraint. Pointed yokes run across the front and back, two flap chest pockets sit squared up on either side with a pen slot worked into the left, and the placket closes with white pearl snaps, the detail rodeo riders favored because a snap lets go rather than tearing. An antiqued conch snap holds the collar, a natural herringbone locker loop hangs at the back, and side seam gussets and double needle chainstitch seams hold the construction together.
