Cycling Jacket - Hunter Green

Long before technical outerwear existed, a cyclist heading into cold weather reached for wool. The jackets French riders pulled on from the 1930s through the 1950s were plain, purposeful pieces built to move with a body bent over the bars, and this one takes its cues from them. Melton is the right cloth for that job. It gets woven and then fulled, a process that compacts and shrinks the fibers until the surface closes in on itself into a dense, napped face, which is why melton turns back wind and holds a clean edge rather than fraying. For FW26 the pick is a plush melton that stops well short of heavy, so the jacket keeps its warmth and stays light enough to layer over a sweater or under a coat when the temperature really drops. The 10% nylon in the blend adds resilience to the wool and helps the piece keep its shape. The front pockets are where the old pattern gets a modern turn. Each one runs dual entry, with a hand pocket below to warm your fingers and a zip top storage pocket above for whatever needs to stay put while you ride. A YKK gunmetal double zipper runs up the center front.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a large in the Cycling Jacket. Of the two jackets in this release, this one fits pretty trim in comparison to a lot of their newer silhouettes. We would recommend sizing up once in this jacket. Tommy is 5'9," 160lbs with a 41" chest.
