IHJ-161-IND-NP - 10oz Neppy Selvedge Denim Coach Jacket - Indigo - No Patch

The Iron Heart IHJ-161-IND-NP Coach Jacket takes the classic American sports overcoat silhouette of the 1960s and 70s and does something genuinely unexpected with it, swapping the traditional nylon shell for a 10oz Japanese neppy selvedge denim that makes this the most distinctive coach jacket Iron Heart has produced. The indigo rope-dyed warp and reactive-dyed light blue weft create a fabric that will fade and evolve with wear, while the neppy warp yarn introduces an irregular, textured surface full of vintage character that no standard denim construction can replicate. The deliberately oversized fit allows for serious layering underneath, and the partially lined interior, 6oz cotton twill at the front to conceal the pocket bags with the back left unlined to show off the reverse of the weave, is a detail worth getting close enough to appreciate. Copper snap fastenings, a drawstring hem, ribbed elasticated cuffs, and a placket selvedge ID round out a jacket that earns its place at the top of the Iron Heart outerwear lineup.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing an XL in this piece. He normally wears large in their non-denim jackets, but even with the "oversized" nature, he still wanted to go with his typical jacket size. It fit him perfectly. We would recommend taking your normal IH size in this one. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 41" chest.
