The John Gluckow JG-46 Fleece Beach Jacket is based on a style produced by High Rock, one of the most celebrated sweatshirt manufacturers of the 1920s and 30s, known for its distinctive heavyweight fleece garments. The beach jacket silhouette was made famous by Brown's Beach company out of Massachusetts, and John Gluckow's interpretation stays close to the source, with a richly textured salt-and-pepper fleece outer in 100% wool and a mixed wool-blend lining that carries the weight and warmth of the original. Contrasting piping around the pockets, front placket, and collar adds the definition that separates this from a standard fleece jacket and grounds it firmly in the vintage reference it draws from.
