The Jackman JM4507SPL Back Nep Umpire Pants in the splash print version take an already distinctive silhouette and make it impossible to ignore. The fabric is a dry cotton blend from the USA and Australia, spun using a technical nep yarn process where the carding machine is adjusted to introduce controlled irregularities into the fiber alignment, creating the naturally uneven, rustic surface character that defines the Back Nep material. Because nep yarn is inherently fragile and breaks more easily than standard yarn, the fabric is woven on an old-fashioned rapier loom, one of the few machines capable of handling delicate yarns with enough precision and control to produce consistent cloth. The umpire pant silhouette carries a large hip pocket running from the waist down, an elastic waistband, and a relaxed, easy fit. The paint splash across the surface adds a layer of visual noise that somehow makes the whole thing feel more considered rather than less.
