JM6310- GG Rib BB Cap "P" - 155 Dark Purple

Baseball caps looked different before the modern fitted took over. The crown sat rounded and low on the head and the brim stayed short, closer to a workwear cap than to what comes out of a stadium shop today, and that early 1900s shape is what Jackman recreates here. The build is where it gets interesting. Rather than a woven twill, the cap is made from GG sweat rib, a heavy ribbed knit with both stretch and strength, which gives the crown a soft, substantial feel and lets it settle onto the head instead of sitting rigid on top of it. The brim core comes from cotton recycled out of the fabric scraps left on the factory floor, which keeps usable material in circulation and has the added benefit of making the whole cap machine washable, a rare thing for a structured brim. On the front sits a single letter cut from 2mm off-white melange felt, taken from the first letter of the colorway name, the same way old ball club caps carried their felt initials. Soft material against a classic shape, with enough presence to carry a fit on its own.

Fit Notes: These have a one-size notation, but make sure you scope the minimum and maximum measurements. There is a strap in the back that allows for about 10cm of adjustment.
