JM8690 - Napster Coach Jacket - 114 Ivory

Jackman names this one for the nap, and the nap is the whole story. The fabric is a knit built from a wool and polyester blend, brushed hard on the face until the surface stands up in a dense, woolly pile that holds air and traps warmth, with the reverse left as a smooth jersey so the jacket slides over a sweatshirt rather than grabbing at it. Wool carries nearly half the blend and does the insulating, while the polyester keeps the knit stable and lets it shrug off the shrinkage and distortion that pure wool at this loft tends to develop. The pattern is a coach jacket, stripped back to essentials. A shirt collar sits at the neck, the front closes with tonal ring-dot snaps, and two patch pockets handle the hips. At the hem, a drawcord lets you pull the body in against the wind or leave it open for a looser line. Knit construction keeps the whole thing light for how warm it is, so it works as a jacket in fall and as a mid-layer once the temperature drops.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a large by rule from Jackman. This round, he went with a medium for the pics and a better fit. We highly recommend buying your true size in this particular jacket. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
