Lot 220 A - Offset XX Model Limited Edition Vacuum Sealed - Straight Leg

The Denime Lot 220 Offset XX Model is one of the most significant denim releases we have ever carried, and we mean that with full awareness of how often those words get used. The Kurabo Anjo Factory, which manufactured this denim for 74 years, has permanently closed its doors. This is the final production run of the reproduction denim from Denime's founding era, and it will not be made again. The fabric was jointly developed with Kurabo based on the original founding-era recipe, using the same uneven ring-spun US cotton as the originals, rope-dyed with a special indigo dye and finished with botanical dyeing to achieve a depth of color that synthetic dyes cannot replicate. The scouring process is carried out in room-temperature water to preserve the pronounced white core in the warp yarns, and the denim is woven on vintage GL3 power looms that allow the uneven yarn character to express itself fully in the finished cloth. Curved belt loops sewn from the center, the original back pocket shape, hidden rivet construction with the upper triangle sewing specification, and the distinctive leather label sewn with the waistband stitches before being square-sewn in place are the details that made Denime instantly recognizable at its founding, and they are all present here. Each pair is delivered vacuum-sealed as a time capsule, a fitting end to a chapter in Japanese denim history.

A variance of +/- .5" is within tolerance.

These jeans are unsanforized. When washed, expect approximately 1.25" of shrinkage in the waist, 2.5" in the inseam, and approximately 0.3" in the thigh, knee, leg opening, and rise. With wear, the waist will stretch back up to 1" after 20-40 wears.
