The Warehouse & Co. 4601 Tee is the kind of shirt that is genuinely difficult to describe until you have one in your hands, which is exactly how these things go. We went through a few words for the fabric - slub, texture - but the one that kept coming up in conversations with Warehouse was shadow, and once you hold one up in the right light, it makes perfect sense. The single yarn knit creates horizontal striations in the cotton that read as light and shadow moving across the surface, a quality that will only deepen and develop as the shirt wears in and molds to the body over time. Made on vintage 1960s sinker knitting machines with no side seams, a wrapped ribbed reinforced collar, and a hand feel that is simultaneously super soft and richly textured in the way only the best Japanese knitwear manages. While these are one of the longest-running T-shirts in our arsenal, this round of colors is seasonal and limited, and once they're gone, they don't come back.
