Lot 5244 - Selvedge Bandana Geometric Pattern - Indigo

We've been waiting for years and years to see bandanas return from Warehouse & Co. We think it's been since 2019 since you guys sold out the first round of hankies in a few days, and we've been fiending for more ever since. When we were in Japan, we asked the brothers if we could carry the bandanas we saw in the Warehouse retail space. Generally, they're not up for sale outside of Japan. What made us ask, you ask? Well, we saw a worn-in, faded sample next to the new ones. We couldn't help ourselves, this series continues our love for their bandanas with a new pattern. 

This bandana captures the essence of vintage design with three key elements: large size, double-eared construction, and rich indigo dye. Historically, bandanas were worn for practical use, often absorbing sweat and enduring frequent washing. To address fading concerns, "COLOR FAST" prints were introduced, utilizing reactive dyes that resist fading and maintain their vibrancy.

Many indigo bandanas date back to pre-World War II and are cherished for their unique, beautiful fading—an unintended yet captivating feature of indigo dyeing. At Warehouse, they meticulously recreated this timeless appeal by weaving indigo-dyed threads on looms capable of producing double-eared fabric. The patterns are applied using discharge printing, resulting in a bandana that not only reflects the charm of vintage craftsmanship but also allows you to experience the exquisite color transitions of vivid indigo over time.
