MSP-7016 - Airy Wool Knit Beanie - Charcoal

Maru Sankaku Peke builds nearly everything around the idea that a garment should arrive looking like it has already been somewhere, working with Japanese artisans on the processing that gets it there. The cap is a quieter expression of that thinking. It is knit from 15% Japanese wool at an open, airy gauge, which keeps the weight down and leaves space between the stitches to hold warm air, so it insulates through the loft of the knit rather than through sheer density. Wool handles the rest, managing moisture and keeping its warmth even in damp cold. The detail that marks it is the patch, cut from cowhide and stamped by hand, which means the impression sits a little differently on every cap and will darken into its own patina as the leather picks up oil and light. And it's so, so soft.
