This pair is called the OG for a reason. It has been in Rototo's lineup since the beginning, and it is one of the things that had us counting down to fall. The inside is a low-count organic cotton that feels like the inside of a well-worn sweatshirt against the foot, and the merino on the outside is soft enough that people keep reaching for a pair the moment they handle one. They are knit the old-school way in Nara Prefecture, the part of Japan that has been making socks longer than anywhere else in the country, on machines that run slow enough to get the structure right. These never stick around as long as we expect them to!
