R5175 - Everyday Cashmere Cozy Beanie - Taupe

Cashmere earns its reputation on fineness. The fibers measure a fraction of the diameter of sheep's wool, so many more of them pack into the same yarn, creating more surface area, more trapped air, and the softness that gets cashmere its name. On its own it is a delicate thing. Rototo blends it at 20% against 80% cotton here, and the cotton does the structural work, giving the beanie body and shape retention and the ability to take regular washing, while the cashmere handles everything you feel against your forehead and ears. The result is a cap that sits somewhere between an everyday knit and something more luxurious, warm enough for real cold and soft enough that you forget it is on.
