The Studio D'Artisan No. 100 WWII Selvedge Jeans share the same design philosophy as the Type I jacket, a faithful recreation of the simplified, imperfect construction that defined denim production in the 1940s when wartime rationing redirected skilled labor and materials toward the war effort. The resulting jeans of that era carried uneven stitching and rougher finishing as a byproduct of circumstance, and SDA replicates that character deliberately and with real precision. The fabric is SDA's flagship 15oz No. 100 selvedge, thoroughly washed to evoke the look and feel of a pair that has already been through something. Selvedge button fly construction, oxidized SDA buttons, engraved copper rivets, olive herringbone canvas pocket bags, original painted back pocket arcuates, and an SDA leather waistband patch round out a jean that earns every detail on its own terms.
